Anyone have any experience with Air Amplifiers?

Anyone have any experience with Air Amplifiers?

(OP)
Good day all! I use Mazak 3083 Lasers to cut very complex profiles in stainless steel sheets and i have problem with smoke. Does anyone have any experience with these Air Amplifiers a co-worker told me about? Any input would be appreciated. Thank You.

RE: Anyone have any experience with Air Amplifiers?

Sorry I don't.

But the reason I respond it i'm curious about the application. Do you plan to blow the smoke away from the work?

RE: Anyone have any experience with Air Amplifiers?

We are looking to use these Air Amplifiers to simply convey the smoke away from the cutting location. This is due to the fact that we have a camera mounted inside the machine that is not able to get a clear view of the cutting application. So we are thinking these Air Amplifiers would be an ideal fit...

RE: Anyone have any experience with Air Amplifiers?

I am aware of the fluid dynamics principal of the unit. Sounds good to me.

But...  If you cutting stainless with high pressure nitrogen and you have a dust collector, why so much smoke? I've never seen that.

What is the advantage of the air amplifier over a small electric blower? It seems like kind of a Rube Goldberg way of moving air. I can't see it being very efficient. I look at the thing and I just picture my air compressor running all the time to keep up with it.
