Location Settings for Parts list etc.

Hello all,
By default the Draftlist.txt file is stored locally, but is it possible to point to a network location for this file and settings for weld symbols etc ?

Where would we be without sat-nav?

RE: Location Settings for Parts list etc.

Hi beachcomber,

Yes ST2 allows this. The Options > File locations dialogue allows you to set the location of the Reports folder that contains the Draftlist.txt file as well as a few other setup files.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Jon,
Unfortunately we are still on ST1, so I assume it's still fixed to local.

RE: Location Settings for Parts list etc.

BC,

you can do it in ST1 (and lower versions) as well but your have
to modify the registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version 100\TemplatePath

to point to a new location. Besides that you have to replicate the
folder's structure and contents at the new location. That is
..\Template\More
           \Quicksheet
           \Reports
   all templates

One word of warning: running MakeVerCurr.exe will reset the above key
back to the installation default

Good call dy,

Always a good registry hack hidden away there to sort things out.

One to remember.
