Transparent parts error

Transparent parts error

Transparent parts error

(OP)
I am a self taught SE user, and I am dealing with some older drawings that were made by the employee who worked in my position before me. One problem I am having is an error that I can't seem to find what SE is trying to tell me.

In the part file (which is then divided into separate parts for an assembly and then a drawing) the part has become transparent. It shows up as only edges of all the features, and otherwise looks like it is modeled as blue glass. When in the assembly file, this transparency carries over and creates no end of problems in the drawing file. I know this means something is wrong, but I cannot find what to fix, or where to look for an error.

Any help would be appreciated.

RE: Transparent parts error

on the toolbar just below the main toolbar press one of
the buttons to the right of the one that is now active
(just below the word 'Applications'. The part is now shown
as wireframe with hidden edges.
