For a project we have to create a belt a sitation where a belt length should control the path the belt. In one condition should run on top of the belt pulley in the other condition it should run in the buttom - look attached pic *nx4.

RE: need a little help

So you want to change an expression for the belt length and have the path vary to suit?

What you don't appear to be accounting for is the thickness of the belt when it runs on the opposite side of the jockey pulley as shown in the image. Nor have you explained what conditions dictate when it swaps sides. Frankly I doubt that it can be done with a single sketch. I suspect that the programmers of the software have gone to a lot of trouble trying to optimise an algorithm that doesn't swap sides accidentally. Getting the system to do so on purpose seems counter intuitive to me.

yes, Hudson
you are right,
the attached pic should help to clear up the problem.-
its a thumbsketch.

I'm still looking,
there is no need to use a single sketch,
the wheels are from wave links - I only want to control the belt path from expressions /condition -  how to set up control this requirement.
thx

RE: need a little help

Ah Ha! What about a suppression by expression whenever you feel it is appropriate to change sides, so effectively you've built the belt twice with the one belt always suppressed and the other unsuppressed at any given point in time. And the rest of the geometry driven with other expressions.
