Ever wanted to make a nice, round detail view border on the new view?

Well, you can by selecting the Grid ON, as Polar, and set Snap to Grid (Environment).
Now when you select to create a Detail view, place the Grid Origin at the Detail View center point, then create the detail view as before. But when you start making the spline outline, snap to the grid.

Voila, there is a nice Circular detail boundary on both the new view and Parent view.

RE: Detail View Border

Thanks Steve,
Perhaps you would consider a tip of he week? Most of us are very busy in our day to day work. I find that learning one or two "little-known" techniques about using Pro/E each week can be very beneficial. All those tips really can add up over the months!

cheers,
