Question about ABAQUS 64bit

Question about ABAQUS 64bit

Question about ABAQUS 64bit

(OP)
Dear all,

I have a question about ABAQUS 691 and I hope it makes sense.  We are installing 691 version of ABAQUS in our computers which are running windows vista 64 bit.

How can we check if the 32 bit version or the 64 bit version of ABAQUS has been installed.

Does ABAQUS automatically "sees" the 64bit version of windows and is installed as a 64 bit program?

Thanks in advance,

Thanasis

RE: Question about ABAQUS 64bit

Use Task Manager, under the Processes tab look at image names. All 32 bit process names are followed by "*32". The Abaqus solver appears as a process called "Standard", if there is no "*32" after the name it is a 64bit process
