Shuttle Spacesuit Thermal Properties

Shuttle Spacesuit Thermal Properties

(OP)
I'm developing a thermal model of the current Shuttle Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) -- the Shuttle Extravehicular Activity (EVA) Spacesuit. I've been looking for thermal properties for same but can't seem to find a single source that contains all of them. The best I've been able to find is piecemeal info. Does anyone have a document that they can point me to that contains such data? Alternatively, is this info somewhere on the internet?

The suit consists of Orthofabric, Multilayered Insulation, etc. I was really wondering if someone had run across a document containing thermophysical properties for the EMU suit. Thanks.

RE: Shuttle Spacesuit Thermal Properties

As I understand it the suit is undergoing constant evolution so it will depend on what point in time you want your data.
Personally I would contact NASA through their Technical Information portals as well as the Public Information Office.  I have had very good luck with getting information from them on a diversity of topics.

unclesyd,

Thanks for the response! And a special thanks for the link. I found a wealth of information on it. I'll take your advice and contact NASA directly. Thanks again.

RE: Shuttle Spacesuit Thermal Properties

Appreciate the heads up.

I have always gotten what I needed from NASA.  There was a white paper recently on TV showing how the suits were built for each Astronaut.
