Coordinate System Manipulation

Coordinate System Manipulation

Coordinate System Manipulation

(OP)
I am having a problem with orienting the coordinate system to my needs. Looking at the attached pic the coordinate system is shown with positive X towards right, positive Z straight up and positive Y direction into the screen. The engineer is requesting the Z direction to be reversed with the positive direction coming out of the screen. Is there a way to do this with the main coordinate system without using an alternate one? Thanks.

RE: Coordinate System Manipulation

A coordinate system is a coordinate system - it can't be changed.

But you can locate/positions the parts within the assembly coordinate system as the engineer has requested.

Why does the engineer want to do this? What is he/she trying to accomplish? (what you described can be done by just rotating the image)
