Help needed with Postbuilder / NX7!

Help needed with Postbuilder / NX7!

(OP)
I need to build a post for a new Wire EDM that we have.

This machine uses a function where you can control both axis individually like so:

G92 X0.0 Y0.0
G02 X50.0 Y0.0 I5.0 J1.0 : X40 Y10.0 I3.0 J0.0;
M30

(This is just an example and not a very good one).

As you see above, the first reference to the X axis is for the lower guide and the subsequent reference to the X axis is for the upper guide. (U/V)

Is it possible to get the output of both profiles via NX7 64bit?

I don't mind having to manipulate the post but I'm not sure if UGS supports this type of output.

Just something else to note.

You can command a G02 for the lower axis and a G01 for the upper axis.

I suppose I could use a Matrix to determine if the linear interpolation points lie on a circle and then make my own G02/G03 moves based on that.

RE: Help needed with Postbuilder / NX7!

That is possible I have got a wedm postprocessor that does such a thing. The challenge is to keep your interpolation method symmetrical. If you interpolate left to right should result in the same result as right to left.
