R.F. REMOTE CONTROL 2 WAY RELAYS

R.F. REMOTE CONTROL 2 WAY RELAYS

(OP)
HI,
CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF A LOW VOLTAGE D.C. 2 WAY RELAY RECIEVER EXISTS?
I HAVE ONLY BEEN ABLE TO FIND ONES WITH AN IMPUT VOLTAGE OF 9-12 VOLTS.
I AM TRYING TO CONTROL A REVERSABLE 3.6 VOLT D.C. GEARMOTOR
AND WISH TO USE THE SAME 3.6 VOLT BATTERY TO POWER RECIEVR/RELAYS/MOTOR ETC.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.

RE: R.F. REMOTE CONTROL 2 WAY RELAYS

I hope you have some serious RF filtering and supply supports caps on that thing... droop from powering a motor, fields from relay coils, etc. are going to wreak havoc on your system if it's all powered form the same battery.

RE: R.F. REMOTE CONTROL 2 WAY RELAYS

There are 3 to 5 VDC RF receivers. I have been using them for prototype development. A matching transmitter, also running on 3 to 5 VDC could be required. Your post does not mention application specifics (distance/frequency) so please consider my notes as very general.

As noted in one of the responses the EMI and RFI should be considered however I have not had any issues.

A good company to work with is Karin/NewSpirit. If there is an interest please Email me and I will forward the contact information to you. NewSpirit offers 27 MHZ, 49 MHZ and 2.4 MHZ versions and all have performed for me.

There are other companies I have worked on RF remote control however your low voltage requirement eliminated them unless you could integrate a DC-DC voltage regulator (buck/boost) into your design.

Best regards,
Bob (Email: bmorle1@hallmark.com)

Perhaps you could try your local hobby shop, they may have something suitable in their model aircraft line.
