High pressure air pipe test

High pressure air pipe test

High pressure air pipe test

(OP)
I need to test a gas pipe system using air at above 400 psi on a thermoelectric power plant. I would like to know if this test pressure is common on gas systems and what precautions shall be taken. I am concerned on the energy stored in the pipe system. It will also help to receive experience hints.
Thanks,

I know that you think that since you've never asked this question before it can't have ever been asked before.  You would be wrong.  Try a search and you'll find dozens of very enlightening threads on this topic.

Thanks zdas, I got the information I needed. Next time I will do a more detailed search first.

eba2104,
I can't express how much I appreciate your response.  My snarky comments to look before dredging up difficult topics yet again are usually met with attitude or silence.  Thank you for letting us know that you found what you needed and that we didn't need to dredge up the stomach acid yet again on this topic.
