Save Bodies - with reference surfaces

Save Bodies - with reference surfaces

Save Bodies - with reference surfaces

(OP)
I have a master part file with surfaces (cutting & reference) that I can use to split the solid to form multiple solids.

I right click the solids folder to choose save bodies. I choose a location to save.

My question :

When I open the automatically created part file, I want to have all the other reference surfaces, sketches, Planes etc that were present in the master model.

I want avoid inserting the master model into the part file. Its like inserting a parent into the child feature.

Any suggestions.

Thanks
BT

RE: Save Bodies - with reference surfaces

No there is no option/method to do that. The best way will be be either make 2 configurations in the part itself and suppress delete body in one, keeping the second one and vice versa for second configuration or with the same scenario you may create 2 copies of part. You may add LH & RH to the config or part name.
