Flare Lower Steam and Upper Steam

Flare Lower Steam and Upper Steam

Flare Lower Steam and Upper Steam

(OP)
Good Day,

I have a concern about the operation of smokeless flare. I noticed one of the plant I visted, when the flare is on stand by mode, operators used to supply the flare with same quantity of lower and upper steam ring. for example, they run lower steam ring with 8 mIb/hr and upper steam ring with same amount 8mIb/hr.I refered to design and I notoced that lower steam ring should be operated at higher range than upper steam. I would like to know if this action could lead to tip damage or molecular seal failre. Thanks
