Virginia Standard Lane Width

Virginia Standard Lane Width

Virginia Standard Lane Width

(OP)
Hello.  I am working on a mini presenation for class and would like to reference the average width of the road I am presenting.

I do not have the equipment or ability to measure the road myself, so I would like to just reference an approximate width.  I figure this is probably common knowledge for some folks out there (I am not in this field).

My road I am looking at is a total of four lanes (2 heading north, and 2 heading south) and does not have a median.

Thank you.
Tamara

RE: Virginia Standard Lane Width

The standard travel lane width in Virginia (and most states) is 12 feet.
