Deleting hidden (ghost) objects in layers

Deleting hidden (ghost) objects in layers

Deleting hidden (ghost) objects in layers

(OP)
I want to delete some hidden (ghost) objects in some layers, (I know some objects get created that we normally can not delete). I tried part cleanup but it is not deleting these objects.

I read the following thread, but www.solidnx.com is not working now,
http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=169689

Can someone upload the layer cleanup tool that was there in solidnx.com ? I had used this tool long back, it was working fine, but right now I don't have it.

Thanks in advance.

RE: Deleting hidden (ghost) objects in layers

Also, try right clicking in the white space of the part navigator tool and switching out of 'timestamp' mode. Here you will find a folder called 'unused objects'; you can *usually* delete the stuff you find here. NX6 has been pretty good at reporting unused objects, but I have had instances with previous versions where the object really was needed. Save your file before you start deleting stuff, just in case.
