Manual machine sketch curves?

Manual machine sketch curves?

Manual machine sketch curves?

(OP)
Hi All,
Does anyone know a way to machine along a sketch curve in NX? In I-deas we use manual mill to engrave line art logos, part numbers and such by choosing the curves and entering how far to machine into the part. I've looked at Contour_text but that only works with text, not sketch curves.
Thanks,
John

RE: Manual machine sketch curves?

Sketcheds are selectable just like curves and edges.
You can select them for boundaries, which can be cut in many operations. You can also use curve/point drive method in surface contouring.

And yes, contour_text is for text.

Mark,
Curve/point does exactly what I'm looking for. We've been using I-deas so long, I forgot what it's like learning a new one. Back and forth between frustrated, exhilarated and sometimes embarrassed :)
Thanks,
John
