Can't Access DesignModeler....

Can't Access DesignModeler....

Ansys..... flipping hard going.

I've been playing around with an Academic version of Ansys a lecturer friend of mine has but can't seem to get into designmodeler. From WB I select New Geometry, the bottom left of the sctree shows "starting DesignModeler..." with red traffic light, the light then goes green bur DM does not come up. Everything else seems fine, Mechanical comes up etc and if I select some SolidWorks geometry it's also fine. Just can't get into DM.

Anyone any ideas at all?

Cheers

Russ

RE: Can't Access DesignModeler....

Not sure if you have a license for DM.  Looks like a license issue... check with your local reseller, if that is where you got your license from.

Got it working now thanks, seemed to be a PC specific problem.

RE: Can't Access DesignModeler....

Hello Rodintee,

could you better specify the PC specific problem you encountered?
I just installed the ANSYS 12 on my workstation and I can not get the Design Modeler running, but unfortunately I do not get any better specific error message..

Kind regards,
Edo
