Air flushing

Air flushing

(OP)
Hello,

I am designing a decompression air blow procedure for  pre-commissioning of a new plant. One of the lines we are blowing is about 75m of 8" piping but it is reduced down to 6" at the blow point. We need about 5 hoses to get back to our silencer, and we plan to use some 10" hose in addition to the 6" hose we have in order to reduce the pressure drop through the hose. In terms of minimizing pressure drop, would it be more advantageous to hook up the 10" to the system blow point and then reduce down to 6" or vice versa?

Cheers

RE: Air flushing

It probably makes little practical difference, but
how long is the length of 10" and the length of 6" hoses?
