Questions for Pipepak users

(OP)
Algor pipepak tables includes the flange width and valve length, but it seems that neither are used by the program:

- Flanges are considered a weight applied in the node.
- Valve lengths are drawn based on the length defined for the segment.

Anybody knows if the program uses the tabulated width and length?
Where is the valve weight applied? at the node where it is defined or at the center of the segment?
Does the option "resolve loads at flange faces" has something to do with the flange width? What is exactly what this option does?

I've been through the manual but could not find an answer.

Thanks

RE: Questions for Pipepak users

I think you will find that the mass of the valve is used in the dynamic analysis only.
