Converting meters into Trimble acceptable unit

Converting meters into Trimble acceptable unit

Converting meters into Trimble acceptable unit

(OP)
On a mission, we received a survey card with ridiculously high numbers, in the millions, for our Northings and Eastings.  We're going through a dozen different strategies to figure out how to use this so Trimble doesn't screw up this very important survey, but otherwise we are at a loss of what to do.

Is there some conversion or site we can go to, so we are able to convert meters into a more...acceptable GPS tracker?  Our Trimble has no idea what the hell we're doing right now, and frankly we've never seen such high numbers on a survey data card.  Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

RE: Converting meters into Trimble acceptable unit

sounds like you have figures in millimeters rather than kilometers, no?

RE: Converting meters into Trimble acceptable unit

Why would you think that you need less precision?

And assuming that you're actually trying to locate something to within some number of millimeters or centimeters, aren't your survey values what you need to do the job?

RE: Converting meters into Trimble acceptable unit

Did they include the false northing and easting?  Are there decimal points in these numbers?

If they included your false northing (NN) and easting (EEE) your numbers will look like NNXXXXX.XX and EEEXXXXX.XX where the "X"s represent your grid.
