DC circuit breaker

(OP)
Dear colleagues,

Can anybody advise what type of circuit breaker to use for the DC circuit (isolated from the ground) rated 1250 VDC and 500 ADC? So far I was able to find out that molded case CB could be used up to 1000 VDC with connection of poles in series. Is anything available without usage of the MV class equipment?

RE: DC circuit breaker

1500V DC is common in locomotive/traction application. Look up 1500V DC breakers.

Thank you, Rafiq. I will take a good look at that industry.

RE: DC circuit breaker

Mining and quarries seem to use higher voltages too - maybe 1100V if I remember correctly.
