P&ID in CAD

P&ID in CAD

(OP)
Does anybody have a suggestion for a decent P&ID CAD package. I'm looking at the possibility of getting something better than AutoCAD 200i set up in the office to handle our P&ID needs and right now all I've found is AutoCAD PID 2010. It's nice, but I need to look at alternatives to have a few options and cost points.

RE: P&ID in CAD

At risk of sounding stupid, what does P&ID stand for?

P&ID = Piping & Instrumentation Diagram.

P&IDs are one of the simplest piping drawings that are done, WHY do you feel you need to have a CAD program to generate one for you?
