BS 7608 fatigue design equivalent for welded copper pipes?

BS 7608 fatigue design equivalent for welded copper pipes?

BS 7608 fatigue design equivalent for welded copper pipes?

(OP)
I need to do some fatigue life calcs for butt welds in copper pipework. If it was steel I would follow the guidance given in BS 7608 which contains S-N curve data for various weld configurations in steel. Is there a similar standard available for welded copper structures? If not how would the fatigue life of the butt welds in a copper pipe be derived?

RE: BS 7608 fatigue design equivalent for welded copper pipes?

BS7608 is for steel only. I know of no equivalent for other materials. In your case I would ratio the alloawble stress based on the fatigue strength of the copper v steel (worst case) as a start. If you don't like the answers I would consider the fracture mechanics approach
