Relink drawing views.

Hi,

I have a UG file which has both 3D part and drawing created in one file. I have to separate the drawing and  the model files. I created one more copy(Save As) and deleted dwg views from one file and 3D from another. Is there a way to link the drawing views in one file to the same 3D model in different file.

Thanks

Oh I use UG NX 4.0.

RE: Relink drawing views.

Raju,

You can accomplish this using the File->Export->Part option.

Start with your original file, specify a new file, and then click the Drawing Selection option, choosing the drawing(s).

When prompted with "Do you want to add the current part as a component of the new part...", choose Yes.

You will now have a new file containing the drawing information (from your original file), with your original file as a component.

All you then have to do is delete the drawing from the original file.
