Oversize countersunk blind rivet

Oversize countersunk blind rivet

I'm looking for a 7/32 countersunk rivet.
Material = 2000 series aluminum
Countersunk head = 100 degrees

Something like the NAS1739, NAS1399 or CR3243, but available in 7/32 inches diameter.

I don't want to go to 1/4 due to edge margin concerns.

Thanks for any help.

RE: Oversize countersunk blind rivet

Have you looked at DIN 65259  sizes say 5.5mm ?

A380IsTooBig..

If what You really want is an oversize for a 3/16, take a look at NAS9305E6 [CR3252, 5056-slv + PH15-5-pin, typ CherryMax] or wire-draw Cherrymax [A286 only] CR4652D or CW [hole = 0.205--0.209].

Regards, Wil Taylor

Mr. Taylor,

Although those are oversize blind rivets, my hole diameter is 0.225 inches.

As per Boeing spec BAC5004-3, those fasteners are good for a hole diameter of 0.215 – 0.218 inches.

We ended up having to disassemble a bunch of internal structure to install a solid BACR15DS7D (as per Boeing spec BAC 5004-1).  It took a lot longer, but it is also permanent.

I'd still like to know of any 7/32 countersink blind rivets for next time.
