Hi!Is there any safety code for max allowable pressure in air conditioning accessories like fan coils in residentials? Is high pressure water a hazard itself even if the unit's working pressure is high enough?

RE: max allowable pressure

Pressure inside a system should of course not exceed the rated pressures of the equipment/valves/pipes etc involved.

Pressure in liquid systems is a lot less dangerous than pressure in gas systems as gasses will be compressed under pressure and can expand (explode) with violent force when a rupture or leak occurs.

High pressure in water can be dangerous if the temperature of the pressurised water exceeds the boiling point at atmospheric pressure. In this case the water will turn into steam instantly when a leak occurs.

RE: max allowable pressure

Anyway, what pressure are we talking about here?

Over here, high buldings usually have separate systems at every 50-60 metres or so to limit the pressure on radiators or fancoils on the occupied floors to 6 bars.

This is just a practical thing as most regular radiators, valves and other equipment are rated to 6 bars.

ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 15-2004, Safety Standard for Refrigeration Systems

UL 1995 UL Standard for Safety Heating and Cooling Equipment

Thank you Zesti. The pressure I am talking about ,as you say, is about pressure of water in high buildings and that at most how many floors could be separated as a zone.I doubt if it is a good idea to "take" a high pressure water to houses and rooms even if the equipments withstand it and I think there must be a limit to this pressure .
