Bearing capacity of jointed rock

Bearing capacity of jointed rock

Bearing capacity of jointed rock

(OP)
I am concentrated on determining the ultimate bearing capacity of jointed rocks for two cases. In the first case, the spacing of rock joints is large compared to the foundation width, and in the second case, the spacing of rock joints is small compared to the foundation width. I am going to use UDEC code for determining the bearing capacity, but I don't know that when the ultimate bearing pressure will reach. Is the plastic point density in the rock beneath the foundation is a good criterion for reaching the load to the ultimate value, or the shear displacement along rock joints is a better criterion, or other criteria that I don't be aware of. Please help me.
