Insufficient memory indicated in NX6

Insufficient memory indicated in NX6

Insufficient memory indicated in NX6

(OP)
Hello everyone, after several-week casual time, I finished my first work with NX6.

For some reasons, I exported the whole assembly model as an NX4.0-version Parasolid with NX6. The size of this Parasolid file is about 23 MB.

However, after that, when I intended to open this Parasolid file again by importing it to a new PRT file with NX6, I was told it is not possible. NX6 indicated there is insufficient momery during process.
But I can import this file with NX4 which is installed in the same computer. NX4 didn't give any warning about low memory.

Then I totally don't understand why. Because I've checked the virtual memory set of my compurter, which is about 6,600 MB. And, my computer has equipped with 2 GB memory cards.

(It is said that NX6 is less compatible than NX4. Is it true?)

RE: Insufficient memory indicated in NX6

Have you installed the latest patch for NX6? You can find which patch version you have installed by going to Help -> About NX. Mine reads 6.0.3.6, but I think I'm at least 1 patch behind. When we first installed NX6, we got a number of errors indicating 'insufficient memory' but the patches have largely solved the issue.

I have just updated my UG to 6.0.4.3. But its default settings are kind of... "Look at the stars... They are all YELLOW!"

Now I am trying to find out where my "slide block" is, which was orinally at the top of working area.

Anyway, it's cool. And thank you for your suggestion!
