RE: Sluice gate design

Mainly hydrostatic pressure. Ask a hydraulist for characteristics of discharge (flow rate, velocity...)

RE: Sluice gate design

We generally hire a speciality company like Rodney Hunt to design and fabricate sluice gates.

RE: Sluice gate design

This site is not intended for engineers to drop off a sketch and come back and pick up a design.
Preposterous.

RE: Sluice gate design

Where is the sluice gate? Looks more like a breakwater to me?

Confused !?

RE: Sluice gate design

This looks more like a Howell-Bunger Valve than a sluice gate to me.
