Is there a way to put qty in detail drawing to automatically update from assembly? In other words, can I somehow reference qty from assembly to detail print?

RE: Qty on detail print

If what you are asking for is to get the quantity of a part from the assembly, the answer is no.

After all, if the part is in multiple assemblies, which is the assembly that you want to gat the quantity from?

RE: Qty on detail print

The other ereason this is a bad idea is when you put that part into a new assembly but the part has not changed. Do you want to revise the detail part drawing to indicate that it now has a new assembly parent?

These things are best left for your PBM/MRP/BOM software to handle.
