Designing a cryogenic distillation column (CO/CH4)
Designing a cryogenic distillation column (CO/CH4)
(OP)
As part of my degree course I have to design a cryogenic distillation column to separte CO and CH4 (part of a syngas plant) to produce very nearly pure CO.
The problem is I can't remember how to do plate-to-plate calculations, or what to do with them afterwards.
If anyone could give me some pointers (as opposed to references to books!!!) I'd be extremely grateful.
Thanks
morticia

RE: Designing a cryogenic distillation column (CO/CH4)
Im in Spain by the way, working for GE Plastics, and I can't get my hotmail, so if you get this, you can text me your email address, and I'll drop you a line.
good luck
RE: Designing a cryogenic distillation column (CO/CH4)
How's work going? Is it fun being a grown up chemical engineer?
I can't do any design project at the mo because my computer seems to be missing a few important things, like Solver, but it should be sorted by tonight then I can try to do plate-to-plate calculations again.
Have fun!
