Quick HEC-RAS question - DS reach lengths

Quick HEC-RAS question - DS reach lengths

Quick HEC-RAS question - DS reach lengths

(OP)
For the last cross-section upstream of a bridge or culvert crossing, what should the downstream reach length be? Currently I am saying that the length is the distance to the next cross-section, which is downstream of the bridge/culvert. Is this correct, or should the length be the distance to the bridge?

I know that you will get an error if the distance U/S plus the road deck width isn't less than the distance between cross-sections. So I think I have it correct, just looking for clarification.  Thanks for any help.

RE: Quick HEC-RAS question - DS reach lengths

Yes, the distance is to the next DS Xsec.
