NX gap detection on parasolid model?

NX gap detection on parasolid model?

NX gap detection on parasolid model?

(OP)
Hello,

I have this question,
NX can detect the gaps and data error imports on a parasolid, IGES, STEP (neutral CAD format files)???
I mean detect where are the import errors on 3D model surfaces, and fix them with NX surface module.

Thanks.

RE: NX gap detection on parasolid model?

Yes - I've done this in NX the last ten years ;)

How can you detect surface gaps on NX?

which icon you use?

thanks.

RE: NX gap detection on parasolid model?

Analysis->Examine Geometry

I see thanks.

And to 'fix' gaps and other model problems, go to...

File -> Export -> Heal Geometry...

Note that this will create a second part file which will contain the 'repaired' body(s), but any parametrics will have been removed, but since it's a copy, your original part file will be intact.  You will also get a summary of exactly what needed to be repaired and if it was successful.

Thanks both uwam2ie and John,

NX has so nice shape design module.

I have used before Catia but NX is so nice and easy.

Thanks.
