SW Freezing When Converting Entities

SW Freezing When Converting Entities

(OP)
In an assembly when editing a part, if I pick an outline from another part (not the one being edited) to convert entities, the window comes up saying my reference is an external reference and the reference will be broken.  Fine, that's the setting I have configured.  The problem is when I click "OK" in the window, the window doesn't close.  I click again and same thing, window doesn't close.  After a couple of times clicking to close the window, the program ends (crashes).... any suggestions.  Is this a bug?   Running SW2010 SP1.
 Thanks for the help.

RE: SW Freezing When Converting Entities

Hi Scott,

I was running 6.14.11.7846 (video card is FX1700).  After reading your message I installed driver 6.14.11.8246, which is what the SW site recommended. That did solve the issue described in original post.  However I found the model, when rotated, had a "jumpiness" to it.  I then downloaded and installed driver 6.14.11.8250, which is a more recent version driver (and not mentioned on the SW site...)... that driver actually works pretty well.  I'll use that for a while and see if there's any issues.  Thanks again for your suggestion.

RE: SW Freezing When Converting Entities

Did you do the clean uninstall and reinstall of the driver? If not I would recommend doing that and see if that makes a difference... even you reinstall the new driver I would still recommend that.
