hydroelectricity doubts

(OP)
Hello i'm just starting in hidroelectricity site and I'll need too much help, so i'd like to know if somebody could give me some tips.

At the moment I'm learning how works the generator, which is two Auston vertical 45MW,

So I'd like to know if there's some specific book that I can get some information.

Thank very much

RE: hydroelectricity doubts

Electrical Engineers Handbook, Fink and Beatty, any edition, will do for a pretty good start.

RE: hydroelectricity doubts

Sounds like a good place to start for an overview.

Are there particular areas of interest?  I don't know of books specifically related to hydromachines.

If you get into electrical testing or other activities related to machine electrical insulation, I'd recommend Electrical Insulation For Rotating Machines by Greg Stone and colleagues.

RE: hydroelectricity doubts

Never heard of an OEM named Auston. You possibly mean Alstom (previously named Alsthom).
