C/K 99, Attempting to get Verification icons for the Command Line

C/K 99, Attempting to get Verification icons for the Command Line

(OP)
The last question I asked was answered very nicely by Mandrake22.  I appreciate it!

I am attempting to re-teach myself CadKey 99, but I am having a few problems remembering how to do some things.  At the moment, I am trying to remember how to go get Command icons to attach to the Command Line.  I'm not sure if I am calling the Command Line by its proper name, but it's the line across the top of the screen that you select an action from, i.e., the Eraser icon.  The icons I would like to put on the Command Line are verification-type icons, i.e., Verify Attributes, Verify Angle, Verify Distance, Verify Coordinates, etc., etc., etc.  I can find all these icons on the Accelerator Keys menu, but don't know how to get them down on the History Line to attach them to the Command Line.

Thank you!

RE: C/K 99, Attempting to get Verification icons for the Command Line

Hello,

Once you select a command, its icon will appear at the bottom of the screen.  You should be able to drag the icon onto the toolbar by holding the shift key and then dragging the icon up to the toolbar.  Remember to save your toolbar before you exit Cadkey.

Thank you, Kyle....

My problem is that I can't get the icons that I want to show up on the History Line at the bottom of the screen so I CAN move them to the toolbar.  I can see the icons I want in the Accelerator Keys Menu, but I can't move them to the Toolbar.  I just need to know how to find these icons so I CAN put them on the Toolbar.

RE: C/K 99, Attempting to get Verification icons for the Command Line

Hello,

The verify commands are under Data/Verify.  The icons should show up at the bottom of the screen.  I have a toolbar I use that I can upload for you to use.  I also created accelerator keys that pull up the entire line creation icon set on the screen as well as others I use frequently such as ordinate dimensions, fillets etc.

Kyle,

Thank you so much!!!!  It's amazing what you can forget in such a short period of time.  I've been in the hospital for two months and it seems like my memory stayed there at the hospital. I went in for left-knee replacement surgery, and contracted MRSA while there.  MRSA is the worst kind of staph infection you can get.  It, in many cases is deadly, and I did almost die from it.  The ONLY place you can get MRSA is in the hospital!!  Go figure!

Thank you so much!  You have been a GREAT help!

Sincerely,

Gene

Glad to help.  Best of luck with your recovery.  Keep the questions coming.  I jump between Solid Edge and CK99 so it's a good refresher.

I'm glad to hear you are able to run CK99 on a 64 bit OS.  Eventually I will need to upgrade (running XP Pro SP2)and I'm concerned it won't run but it sounds like you are making it work.

Yes, it seems to like it, too.  Never had CK run so nicely.
I was hesitant as well, but was convinced by my IT that it would be great.  I trusted his judgement, and I'm glad I did.

It is snowing like crazy, here.  Started about 7 A.M. and it is 2 P.M., now.  At least 6 inches.  Supposed to have three to five feet by Friday.

Hey, Kyle...

How do I send you some information without it being read by others?

Gene,

That's a good question.  I'm not sure.  I'll see if I can find out.

Kyle,

Have a chore to run in roughly one-foot of snow, but will return in about an hour.  We are having blizzard conditions up here at 7,200 feet!

Hi Gene,

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.  Are you still snowed in? :)

As far as private communication, I'm not sure if they have it on this forum.  I also participate in the Cadchat forum and it has the ability for offline communication.

Hey, Kyle...

No, the snow is almost a memory, now.  Still got a lot on the ground, but nothing to slow a person down.  Snowbowl is still going strong, but they've got 8 feet, or more up there at 11,000 feet.

Is the Cadchat forum on this site?  I'm not sure what I was intending to do with the private communication, now.  I've either recalled a function I was going to ask about, or I found a way around it.  clown  I'm sailing along like I never stopped, now.   Thanks for responding!

Gene
