Displaying dimensions as pararmetric equations

Displaying dimensions as pararmetric equations

Displaying dimensions as pararmetric equations

(OP)
Hi all,

Can some kind chap tell me how to get ST1 to display dimensions as pararmetric equations (like d3=89.5) (i.e. like in Autodesk MD)?

Many thanks,

Anthony

RE: Displaying dimensions as pararmetric equations

Hi Anthony,
RMB on the dimension and you should see Show All Values, Show All Names, and Show All Formulae.
Works in models and in draft.

Where would we be without sat-nav?

Hi Beachcomber,

Couple of probs I'm having:

1) I don't seem to be able to enter the v numbers into a new dimension - ST1 says it doesn't like the format... so I can't just put in V31 for example.

2) Extrusions, for example, seem to be given long names rather than v numbers...?

Cheers!

Anthony

RE: Displaying dimensions as pararmetric equations

You can't enter the name of the dimensions directly in the value box. If you double click on the dimension you should then be able to enter an equation. The equation can be only the name of another dimension.

You can also acces all this through the variables tables, then you need only to click on the according dimensions instead of typing the name.

Hope it helps

Patrick

RE: Displaying dimensions as pararmetric equations

I think you are trying to display name and value but this is not one of the options available.
You can display either but not not both.
Maybe an enhancement request is required.
