Simply Supported Beam

(OP)
Hi guys just wanted to know how you would design this beam.
Its a 595x280 RC beam resting on top of a wall with a 3 meter opening, the beam supports a wall on top, my question is should i design it using a span of say 3280mm usuming 280mm supports either side ?

RE: Simply Supported Beam

Design this beam as a RCC lintel........... you can refer any RCC book for that and consider triangular loading of wall above........

RE: Simply Supported Beam

EJ you keep posting in this forum when structural enginnering forum would be a better source of information for some of your posts.
