What do you think is the best Enhancement for SW2010?

I am trying to come up with 5 Enhancements that are show stoppers for our company and present to the managers as to why it will benefit us to upgrade.

I want to get your opinions on what you think.

Thanks,

RE: 2010 Enhancements your opinions

So far nothing really knocks my socks off except for the PV360 enhancements.  Miltibody sheetmetal parts and multiple material support for multibody parts are useful additions.  I guess the changes to the sketch fillet and convert entities tools are kind of nice.  I haven't played with the mouse gestures yet, but I see how they might be useful, too.  But by far the bulk of the useful enhancements for me were in PV360.

Here is what I have thus far:

Assembly BOM - ability to place BOM in an assembly

Dimension Palette - No more going over to the peropty manager

Assembly Visualization - To find the mass of each component\sub-assembly plus other items such as Cost and total weight

Ordinate dimension - Ability to Dimension into section view while still in the parent.

I have seen the size reduce after saving an assembly. Was 290MB for the directory. Saving half the assembly (2 sub-assemblies) to 2010 reduced the file size of hte directory to 260MB.

RE: 2010 Enhancements your opinions

Isn't BOM in assembly a 2009 feature?

RE: 2010 Enhancements your opinions

I believe it was.

RE: 2010 Enhancements your opinions

Not that I remember.

RE: 2010 Enhancements your opinions

BOM in Assy file is 2009, however, there are new enhancements to BOM table functionality (that show up in Assy and Dwg) such as the component viability columns that get tucked away and don't print out even if they are left in view.

I have 2010, but can't upgrade yet until our parent company says so.
But, from what I have see so far are the enhanced fillet and mirror commands are nice.

RE: 2010 Enhancements your opinions

I think the other problem with assembly BOMs in v2009 is that they aren't associative with the drawing file.  From what I understand, these are now connected associatively.

I'm using v2009 for production work now, but not yet on v2010.  I'm considering making the jump upon rebuilding my system to 64-bit Windows 7 within a month or so.

Placing title block in the 3D is another nice one. Eventually, we prepare every thing in the 3d & minimize the work on drawings module.

RE: 2010 Enhancements your opinions

External cosmetic threads have been around for a while but being able to link the callout to the thread standards is new for 2010. Unfortunately it is still not working correctly in SP1.0. This is a link to a video posted by Anna that shows what's going on: http://www.screencast.com/t/NGJjMjBm
