z-clip adjustment

z-clip adjustment

(OP)
I have drafted rectangular surface representing a light spectrum. The light source is about 25ft above floor. The display of this surface will cut off when I use mouse to view.

I forgot the command that can alter this z-clip of the display.
Does any one recollect? I tried help but in vain.

RE: z-clip adjustment

I may be a little dense today, but I'm not sure what you're trying to do.  What do you mean by: "The display of this surface will cut off when I use mouse to view."?

Imagine, you have a very large surface object on screen. When you hit fit to screen you can see the whole thing. The moment, you start rotating it to view around it, the view of the surface gets cropped to an imaginary plane (screen/monitor parallel). There is some setting some where to fix this limit.

I know that its called 3d-clip in autoCAD

RE: z-clip adjustment

If I think what you mean, it is common in CAD.
I can't think of anything special to change that, unless you are having video card issues.
Can you show a screen shot of it?

I know it is not the same but see help file for "Instant3D Live Section Planes"?
