drafting dimension horizontal alignment?

drafting dimension horizontal alignment?

drafting dimension horizontal alignment?

(OP)
Hello everyone. I'm a new NX6 user. When I create an inferred dimension (vertical use) the dimension text is beside the arrow and also parallel to the arrow.

I would like to know where to adjust the setting so that the dimension text is horizontal and also is positioned between the arrow heads.

Thanks.

RE: drafting dimension horizontal alignment?

If you right click your dimension and choose 'style', a dialog box will pop up that will allow you to change virtually any aspect of the dimension.

When you settle on the settings you like, make the changes in your customer defaults and it will apply to any new drawings you create.

RE: drafting dimension horizontal alignment?

But if you're using a Drawing Template you may wish to update them as well, although you can, using...

Preferences -> Drafting -> General

...ask that the current defined Standard be used instead of the one the Drawing Template is currently using, but if you changes will be permanent in nature, it's still best to update the templates.
