Tightlining around a tank

Tightlining around a tank

Tightlining around a tank

(OP)
As part of our gathering system we have centrifugal pumps that feed oil down a 4 mile line to a storage Tank.  From the tank we have a PD pumps that move the oil farther down the system.

Due to the high cost of tank maintenance/inspection we are discussing tightlining around the tank.

I am unsure whether we can accomplish this with the existing PD pumps.  I don't see how we can  feed the PD pumps with the centrifugals and get it to work correctly.
The PD pumps are not on VFD.

Can someone help me out

Thanks

RE: Tightlining around a tank

At what rate are the pumps running, and what is their range? (GPM)

RE: Tightlining around a tank

If the PD at constant speed is in a good range of operation for the centrifugals and discharge pressure is within maximum centrifugal suction pressure, why not?
