FilletXpert; sometimes greyed out

FilletXpert; sometimes greyed out

Anyone know why the FilletXpert box is disabled (greyed out) sometimes?  It seems to be when working on parts with more than one configuration, which seems a bit bizarre.

Anyone experienced the same or know a workaround?

Cheers,

Simon

Check the SW Knowledge Base for S-017694.

Yep, you're right, for anyone interested:

"Currently there is no work around to the behavior as it is intended to prevent unexpected changes to inactive configurations. This is why the following dialog appears when hovering/mousing over the FilletXpert (or DraftXpert) :

"....Xpert not available for parts with multiple configurations."

An enhancement request has been submitted to the development team as SPR #397931 – "Users should be allowed to use FeatureXpert, FilletXpert, and DraftXpert when configurations are present." If you would like to be added to the notification list for this SPR, please contact your reseller (reference the above SPR number) in order to be added to the list and be notified when the issue is resolved. You can also refer to the SPR Look-up Subscription Services site for the latest status of this SPR at: http://www.solidworks.com/pages/services/subscription/ServicePackMaintenanceNotes.html."
