Numerical display description in drafting

I have a drawing set to ANSI B and have my units set to inches.  How come when I create a new dimension it comes in as an experssion of a foot (FEET_INC)?  2.50 in appears as .2'.  Sure I can chage the diplay of the dimension after the fact, but how do I change the defaust setting so that all my new dimensions come in as NUM.DINC?

The glass is operating at 50% capacity.

OK.. So how do I start catia in admin mode?

I am not a CAD administrator by hobby or proffesion, nor am I a "computer geek".

Please spell it out for me..  letter by letter...

RE: Numerical display description in drafting

1.  You need to have write access to the paths CATReferenceSettingsPath and CATCollectionStandards as defined in your Environment File
2.  Run CATIA by adding -admin right after CNEXT in the startup string in your CATIA Icon

This is assuming that you don't have a CATIA IT Support group that has modified any of these.  If you do have a CATIA IT Support group, contact them.

See the online help section entitled "Common Functionalities - Administering Standards and Generative View Styles" for mor information.
