Pipe Freeze (non-invasive solutions)
Pipe Freeze (non-invasive solutions)
(OP)
I have just been introduced to a procedure for "shutting off" water lines using liquid nitrogen. The basic procedure (as I understand it) is to wrap an existing water line with a "jacket" and then pumping liquid nitrogen through the jacket, resulting in creating a "frozen plug" of water inside the water main. To me, this sounds like a great, non-invasive solution when shutting off water pressure by typical means (stop valves, gate valves, etc) is not possible. Is anyone familiar with this solution that could offer up some experience or pros/cons?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
