Contour Profile - Rocks!

Contour Profile - Rocks!

Contour Profile - Rocks!

(OP)
I was programming airframe parts back on NX2. Since then I was doing machinery followed by turbine parts. Now I'm back into the airframe world with NX6 and using Contour Profile. It's the cat's meow! I don't usually get too happy about such things but since my current part is 20' long with 25 pockets to finish... In the past I would have spent a lot of time with Seqmill.

Now, that said I have to be careful just how many pockets I grab (keeping a eye on time in cut). It's tempting to just grab the whole part! :)

RE: Contour Profile - Rocks!

Bill, thanks for reporting good news - sometimes we forget about that.

CP was intended for airframe parts, so I am glad to hear it is saving you time. There will always be cases where you need the direct control that sequential milling provides, but for most cases, contour profile should rock, as you have seen.
