Multiple Mate Mode : Discontinued ?

Multiple Mate Mode : Discontinued ?

Multiple Mate Mode : Discontinued ?

(OP)
There was a multiple mate mode that saved a lot of time in creating mates (Like when mating several bearings, accessories to a single shaft).

Is the feature discontinued?

RE: Multiple Mate Mode : Discontinued ?

I still have it. The paperclip with lightning bolt under mate selection...2010 SP1.0

Thanks for directing. I was looking up for separate tool. while this is actually within the regular mate tool.

RE: Multiple Mate Mode : Discontinued ?

I remember that function, but never used it. If it has been dropped, I imagine it would have been replaced by the  Smart Mates and/or Mate References functions. Check the Help file for more details.

RE: Multiple Mate Mode : Discontinued ?

As far as I know it's always been in the regular tool.
CBL - you should try it some time, it's pretty handy.

RE: Multiple Mate Mode : Discontinued ?

I remember trying it a long time ago but, while the function worked well, it did not suit my 'workflow' habits. I tend to design and assemble piece by piece, so having to mate multiple parts in one step doesn't happen often.

I like the folder option so I will have to experiment again.
