Teamcenter part attributes

(OP)
I am working for a company that is moving on from Ideas to NX6. In a few months onto Teamcenter.
Are there any rules that need to be known about part attiribute names? Does a prefix or suffix need to be added to it so that they are more easily read by Teamcenter?
I am talking about names like "Description", "Part Name" etc.

RE: Teamcenter part attributes

Jerry,

The I-deas command line tool "miadmin" will provide you with information in relation to whether your part numbers and part names etc are suitable for Teamcenter. Miadmin can be run in scan, analyse or update mode. Changes to your TDM can be made and updated from a spreadsheet. (this tool can be found in your i-deas binaries). Siemens are likely to have carried out a TDM audit on your site if you have a migration plan and should be able to provide you with other tools available.
