Can you hide bodies in a drawing view?

Can you hide bodies in a drawing view?

Can you hide bodies in a drawing view?

(OP)
I have a multi-body part where I want to make a drawing, excluding one body in the part.
If I go back to my 3D and I hide the body, the drawing view hides it too but I don't want to need to hide it in my 3D.

RE: Can you hide bodies in a drawing view?

Right click on the view name or view frame, go to "front view object" (or equivalent) and "modify links"

Make sure you have the 3D model open.

When the popup box opens, switch to the model, select (in the tree) every part body you want to show in that view.

Switch back to the drawing, and select "add all"

Update your view and you should be set.

RE: Can you hide bodies in a drawing view?

I dont think you can do what Albigger is saying.  This works with multiple catparts within an assembly but i dont think it works for multiple bodies in a single catpart.

RE: Can you hide bodies in a drawing view?

Jopal - it does work for multiple bodies within one catpart, I use it all the time.  (we rarely use assemblies here)
