Modifying a released part

Modifying a released part

Modifying a released part

(OP)
Where I work generally a part is "released" in the Solid Edge system at the same time it is released for production.

I've been doing a structural analysis on an assembly, but I need to find the CG.  When viewing physical properties, there are about 70 parts that were released with undefined material properties.  I'm looking for a way to modify these parts without Copying, Modifying, then Replacing them all.  I've been searching the help files, but had no luck.  Seems there is an Administrator application for Solid Edge... would this help?  I also found in help that a "Coordinator" can modify released parts, but can't figure out what a "Coordinator" is, or how those privileges can be given to someone.

We are using V20.

Any help is much appreciated.

Travis

RE: Modifying a released part

Hi!

What you need is a little software called StatusChanger that you can find on this site www.barhamsoftware.com

The software will allow you to select the released part and change their status to available.

If you need more details feel free to ask.

Hope it helps

Patrick
